Brendan C. Walsh is an independent historian based in Brisbane, Australia. He graduated with a PhD in History from the University of Queensland in late 2018. His research is largely concerned with early modern Reformed English Protestant demonology, focusing on the themes of demonic possession, exorcism, spiritual healing, diabolic witchcraft, and ghostly visitations. He is the author of the 2021 scholarly monograph The English Exorcist: John Darrell and the Shaping of Early Modern English Protestant Demonology (Routledge). He has also written extensively on British folklore, Gothic literature, and popular representations of the supernatural.
